小路在梨山賓館前的山坡上，正值秋天，我發現此景時幾乎驚叫起來，整坡的秋光襯托了前景幾棵綠葉老樹，如此多姿，如此從容。小徑彎曲前行，還有紅欄相伴，如此幽靜又別開生面，叫人如何不喜？樹杆、樹枝、落葉、青苔，我一一拾進畫中。
The trail ran along the hillside before the Lishan Hostel. It was fall and I almost cried out in surprise when I discovered this sight. The slope in its full autumn array, providing a perfect backdrop to the old trees with green leaves in the foreground. Their air of unconcern looked so amazing! As the trail wound its way forward, there was also the red fence to serve as their companion. How can one not love such a tranquil yet different scene? The tree trunks, the branches, the fallen leaves and the green moss were all captured in my painting.
在寫實的風景畫中，除枝巧外，發現大自然中有特點又動人的美景是第一重要的，這要靠敏感、美感、經驗，也要靠點運氣。
In the landscapes of the Realists, technique is important but what really matters is finding beautiful sights in nature that are different yet inspiring. This takes acute senses, aesthetics, experience and a little luck.
